The name Rila is allegedly of Thracian origin and is thought to mean "well-watered mountain", owing to Rila's abundance of glacial lakes (about 200) and hot springs in fault areas at the base of the mountain.

The Sarawak Culture Village is a "living museum" with live-in-residents demostrating cultural dances, instrument-playig, handicraft-making and cooking.
Seen here is a traditional dance performed to the accompaniment of the sape, a stringed instrument.

Moomin card

When I was a child, I used to read Tove Jansson's novels about Moomins.
Moomins are a troll family, they live in a house in the forests of Finland and they have a lot of friends.
One of their friend is Snufkin and he was my favourite! He is an adventurer and a vagabond and he leaves his friends before winter to go to South and to live many adventurs and he comes back in spring.

Yesterday I received this beautiful postcard, with a Moomin stamp, too :)

In the city of Tampere, in Finland, there is also a Moomin Museum!

Hello everybody,
my name's Stefania. I'm Italian, but I'm living in Ireland with my boyfriend and our four cats.
This is my first blog in English, so I'm sorry about my mistakes!

This blog is about my hobby: collecting postcards (and stamps)!

I don't remember how, but 4 months ago I found this website:

I enjoyed it and I sent my postcards from Ireland... Immediately I received postcards from all over the world and I started to collect them and to appreciate beautiful stamps.
It's really interesting when I receive a postcard which show me something I don't know. I read the description and I go on internet to find more about it, and I discover a lot of things!

Last evening, I swapped with a guy from Czech Republic and after I read his blog (stampsmet.blogspot.com) I decided to open my own blog to show my cards and my stamps.
